Jesus Manuel Berard & Daniel Abraham, conductors

George Frideric Handel: Coronation Anthem—Zadok the Priest
Franz Liszt: Les Préludes (Symphonic Poem No. 3)
Carl Orff: Carmina Burana

Join us for the grandeur of Handel’s most famous anthem, a work so revered that it has been heard at every English coronation since it was first used in 1727; the rich, full-orchestral Romanticism of Lizst; and Orff’s brilliant and beloved large-scale setting of medieval goliard poems exploring the highs and lows that result from tempting the Wheel of Fate and the return of springtime and its surge of love and carnal passion.
